All students start the programme at YTU, where they take core theoretical and applied modules. This phase establishes a common scientific and technical foundation in biomaterials and tissue engineering. - Year 2 – Specialisation Phase
Students move to one of the following partner universities based on their academic interests and thesis topic:
📍 Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), Barcelona, Spain
📍 Politehnica University of Bucharest (UPB), Bucharest, Romania
Students are matched with institutions based on their research focus:
- UIC specializes in cell-based therapies, biomedical devices, and clinical interfaces.
- UPB offers expertise in materials science, surface engineering, and translational manufacturing.
🔁 Special Mobility Arrangements
To comply with the minimum two-country requirement:
- Students from Turkey will complete Year 1 at YTU and spend one semester in Spain and one in Romania during Year 2.
