Mission & Vision

Mission

The mission of the INNOTISSUE Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme is to educate a new generation of “Architects of Regeneration”—highly skilled professionals capable of designing, developing, and translating advanced biomaterials and tissue engineering solutions into clinically and industrially viable applications.

INNOTISSUE delivers a student-centered, research-driven, and mobility-based education model that integrates scientific excellence with real-world impact across the full innovation lifecycle—from concept to clinical application.

Specifically, we aim to:

  • Bridge the lab-to-clinic gap by training graduates in both scientific design and regulatory-aware development (MDR, GMP, ISO standards)
  • Develop interdisciplinary expertise across biomaterials, biology, engineering, and clinical translation
  • Equip students with translational and innovation skills, enabling them to move from research outcomes to scalable, certifiable healthcare solutions
  • Embed ethical, sustainable, and inclusive approaches in biomedical innovation (RRI principles)

Foster a strong European and global learning ecosystem through structured mobility, joint supervision, and industry engagement

Vision

INNOTISSUE envisions becoming a flagship European reference programme in biomaterials and tissue engineering education, recognized for its ability to transform scientific knowledge into real-world healthcare impact.

Our vision is to redefine biomedical education by moving from fragmented, discipline-based training toward a fully integrated, translational, and impact-driven model.

To achieve this, we aim to:

  • Establish a seamless European innovation corridor connecting Türkiye, Romania, and Spain
  • Position INNOTISSUE as a leader in “bench-to-application” education, aligned with EHEA and ESG standards
  • Train graduates who are not only researchers, but also regulatory-aware innovators and industry-ready professionals
  • Strengthen long-term collaboration between academia, healthcare systems, and industry ecosystems

Contribute to global health equity, sustainable healthcare solutions, and responsible technological development
