The INNOTISSUE Master’s Programme offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary curriculum that blends theory, practice, research, and innovation in biomaterials and tissue engineering. The programme consists of four semesters (two academic years) and is structured into core, applied, multidisciplinary, and specialization courses.

🧱 Core Theoretical Courses

These foundational courses provide students with essential knowledge in biomaterials and tissue regeneration.

🧪 Applied and Laboratory Courses

Hands-on modules designed to develop laboratory skills and experimental competence.

  • Cell Culture and Cytocompatibility Testing
  • Bioreactor Design for Tissue Engineering
  • Characterisation Techniques (Spectroscopy, Microscopy, Thermal Analysis)
  • Biofabrication and 3D Bioprinting

🔬 Thematic / Multidisciplinary / Digital Modules

Courses integrating digital tools, clinical translation, regulatory frameworks, and entrepreneurial thinking.

  • Computer-Aided Tissue Engineering
  • Advanced Immunological Techniques for Biomaterials
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Tissue Engineering
  • Regulations and Clinical Trials for Medical Products

🎓 Specialization & Thesis Phase

Advanced modules and individual research during Year 2, supported by thesis supervisors in Spain or Romania.

  • Master’s Thesis (30 ECTS)

📌 All students will complete 60 ECTS in Year 1 (at YTU, Turkey) and 60 ECTS in Year 2 (at either UIC or UPB).
