Who Can Apply ?

Eligible Academic Background

During preliminary evaluation, the following requirements are applied: bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or closely related) fields: bioengineering; biomedical engineering; material sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; biomedical sciences; genetics; molecular biology; biotechnology; medicine; dentistry; or similar.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree* awarded by a university or a higher education institution.

Recognition of the awarding institution

The awarding institution has to be a recognized part of the official national education system of the country, i.e., to be listed as a degree-granting higher education institution by the country where it is located or by a relevant international organization such as UNESCO.

Degree scope and credit requirements

The scope of a relevant degree awarded by a higher education institution must be equivalent to minimum 180 ECTS credits or at least four years of full-time study. The degree must give eligibility for Master’s degree studies in the awarding country.

Applicants in Final Year

(*) Applicants in their final year may apply provided they will graduate by 60 days prior to the start of the INNOTISSUE master’s program course period. If the applicant is not able to graduate on time or fails to deliver a degree certificate by the given deadline, their conditional acceptance to the programme will be cancelled.

(*) The GPA for the 3.5-year period is declared; for programs with a 3-year curriculum, the GPA from the 2.5-year period may also be considered. They commit that it will not be lower than the GPA declared at graduation. If the GPA of these conditionally accepted students is lower than declared, they may be eliminated based on their ranking.

English Language Requirements

An English proficiency level of B2 is required. The accepted language tests and their minimum score requirements are listed below.

English Proficiency Exemptions

Applicants may be exempt from providing proof of English proficiency if they:

• Are native English speakers and have completed their entire secondary education in one of the following countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or Canada (only if the instruction was entirely in English).

• Have obtained or will obtain a full-time Bachelor’s degree (minimum duration of three years) in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or Canada (only if the instruction was entirely in English).

• Hold a European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma with English as the medium of instruction (accepted only if taken as L1 or L2).
